Hey y’all starting with a very exciting announcement: The poster that Wendy MacNaughton and I collaborated on which culls the wisdom of the guests on the first season of The Wise Unknown is here!
SO beautifully written, Courtney! I love how Stella felt powerful after her salon experience, and how she was then able to imagine more ways to feel powerful. Inspiring.
What a joy to read through this post (and these posts)! I'm new here and this roundup has me all the way in. The way you write about motherhood and being speaks to me so much! It's real, it's inspiring, it's not all ra-ra-go-mama but it's still hopeful... anyway. I'm just here to say thank you. Thank you!
We LIVE for the real bits, the best parts. Thank you for searching for them, writing them down. I always learn from what you say. Keep it up, please. 💝
Growing up as a kid, I had always found many of my mother's ways to be strange. It's only now that they strike me as unique wisdom. She refuses to use a dryer and believes in line hung clothes no matter the weather, thinks all you need when you are cranky is a good 'sandgwich' or ice cream cone and doesn't do emails, texts or letters because the power of a voice heals.

I can only imagine what an amazing woman your mom must be! I want to hang with her someday.
